In what could signal that the incoming Trump administration has no intention of dropping the Department of Justice’s antitrust suit against Live Nation, outspoken Trump supporter and ally Kid Rock posted on X that he, “broke bread with our soon to be Attorney General @PamBondi.” Referencing the well-known consumer complaints over Ticketmaster’s anti-competitive and anti-consumer practices, Kid Rock says he looks forward to “working with [Bondi] and the whole administration to help fix the fiasco of buying concert tickets,” which he calls, “horse sh*t that has gone on for decades and only gotten worse.”
This is not the first time Kid Rock has targeted the ticketing behemoth. Earlier this year in an appearance on Theo Von’s podcast, “This Past Weekend,” he spoke about the Ticketmaster monopoly, including their stranglehold on the secondary ticketing market through which they’ve made billions, and detailed how he’s working with legislators in Tennessee to encourage the government to hold the company responsible.
Will Kid Rock be the pied piper consumers need to encourage the DOJ to hold Ticketmaster accountable and make ticket buying great again? Time will tell. But, be warned; he’s “gonna open a can of whoop a**” on those who rip off and deceive the public, threatening all involved to “f**k around and find out.” We are eager to monitor this promising development and will keep music fans posted.
